NEW | Bilingual Senior QA Manager

A global insurance organization is seeking a Lead Test Automation Lead Manager (Senior) for its Solution Delivery / QA Transformation team in Japan.

This role will drive quality improvement, test strategy, and automation initiatives for large-scale enterprise insurance systems operating on a global level.

You will work closely with teams across Japan, overseas offices, and offshore teams (approximately 40 members) to establish and strengthen a global-standard quality management framework.

The position also involves collaborating with IT teams, business stakeholders, and international vendors to improve quality, reduce defects, and stabilize releases.

Please note: test execution itself is handled by offshore teams. This role focuses on global strategy, governance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test strategies and automation roadmaps
- Improve QA processes and quality standards
- Oversee quality management and test governance across multiple systems
- Manage and coordinate offshore and vendor teams
- Drive performance, stability, and scalability testing initiatives
- Implement improvement measures to increase testing efficiency and reduce defects
- Explore and introduce new testing approaches, including AI-driven solutions
- Support GCP migration and system modernization initiatives

- 8+ years of experience in software testing / QA / test management
- 5+ years in test leadership or QA management roles
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise application testing programs
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and QA methodologies
- Experience coordinating with offshore / vendor-based delivery teams
- Experience in complex enterprise environments (insurance or financial services preferred)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to drive quality strategy across multiple parallel projects
- Exposure to cloud environments (GCP preferred) and modern application architectures
