Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire construction process for landed residential projects, ensuring strict adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Site & Team Management: Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Provide mentorship to junior project engineers and coordinators.
Budget Control: Manage project costs, evaluate progress claims, control variations, and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability.
Schedule Management: Develop and monitor detailed project schedules (using MS Project), identify potential risks (e.g., weather delays, material shortages), and implement corrective actions immediately.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants. Facilitate smooth communication and resolve site conflicts efficiently.
Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous site inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications. Enforce strict safety protocols in compliance with local regulations.
Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with QPs (Architect/Engineer) to ensure all works align with approved plans and authority requirements. Manage the inspection and approval process with BCA.
Problem Solving: Address unforeseen site challenges (e.g., soil conditions, structural discrepancies) with practical, immediate solutions.
Documentation: Prepare progress reports, site meeting minutes, and handover documentation for management and clients.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 12-15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on landed residential projects.
Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and project management software. Strong knowledge of local building regulations and safety standards for landed properties.
Strong leadership, crisis management, and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and make decisive on-site decisions.
