PR/096786 | Senior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire construction process for landed residential projects, ensuring strict adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.

• Site & Team Management: Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Provide mentorship to junior project engineers and coordinators.

• Budget Control: Manage project costs, evaluate progress claims, control variations, and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability.

• Schedule Management: Develop and monitor detailed project schedules (using MS Project), identify potential risks (e.g., weather delays, material shortages), and implement corrective actions immediately.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants. Facilitate smooth communication and resolve site conflicts efficiently.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous site inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications. Enforce strict safety protocols in compliance with local regulations.

• Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with QPs (Architect/Engineer) to ensure all works align with approved plans and authority requirements. Manage the inspection and approval process with BCA.

• Problem Solving: Address unforeseen site challenges (e.g., soil conditions, structural discrepancies) with practical, immediate solutions.

• Documentation: Prepare progress reports, site meeting minutes, and handover documentation for management and clients.

Requirements: 

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

• Minimum 12-15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on landed residential projects. 

• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and project management software. Strong knowledge of local building regulations and safety standards for landed properties.

• Strong leadership, crisis management, and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and make decisive on-site decisions.
