As the Product Application Engineer for Die Casting applications, you will interact with our Japan based key customers, translating their needs into innovative product solutions in coordination with the R&D, sales and marketing teams. You will visit clients mainly in the Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo area supporting our ambitious growth plans for the Japanese market.

 

What will you do?

  • Responsible for technical product application support to the QH sales team focusing on the Japan Die Casting market. Our key customers are within the Automotive sector.
  • Participating in the pre-sales and post-sales technical product application support activities.
  • Visiting our customer sites within Japan, you identify and understand customer needs translating the objective to the appropriate function in QH, such as R&D. 
  • Co-ordinate with other functions to determine and establish technical feasibility and product cost as input for the final offer.
  • Hold presentations to customers on technical/product related subjects in co-operation with sales/key account manager.
  • Propose product modifications in order to fulfill customer specific needs or requirements.
  • Maintain highest EHS standards.

Minimum Experience Level Over 6 years

Minimum English Level Fluent (Amount Used: English usage about 25%)
Minimum Japanese Level Fluent
Minimum Education Level Associate Degree/Diploma
Visa Status Permission to work in Japan required

Required Skills

What do we look for?

  • Experience:  
  • Solid experience within the Die Casting sector in an engineering or operations role such as : process engineer, manufacturing engineer, production manager, maintenance engineer or similar.
  • Candidates with a similar Technical Support experience in other industrial fluids companies will be considered.
  • Automotive metal part manufacturing knowledge is highly valued. 
  • Languages: Fluent English  and Japanese are a must 
  • Location: Field based role within Japan. Osaka, Nagoya or Tokyo locations area ideal for a better work-life balance as traveling to visit customer sites is required.
