Job Description:
Create and lead the local Indonesia Packaging Team (engineers and technicians).
Create clear rules for how we develop and test packaging to make sure the work is always high-quality.
Look after the entire packaging process for projects, making sure packaging works well, costs less, is good for the environment, and is ready for customers.
Make our local testing methods (for leaks, stability, transport, etc.) stronger and match them to our company's global standards.
Lead teamwork with other departments (like R&D, Quality, Buying, and Sales) to include packaging in every project step.
Be the main technical expert for all packaging issues. Give advice and fix problems quickly.
Work closely with packaging suppliers to improve their quality, push for new ideas, and make sure they meet our needs.
Always look for and bring in new packaging technology, eco-friendly options, and ways to save money.
Provide technical reports and documents to keep everyone informed and ensure we meet all legal requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical field.
At least 8 years in packaging development, ideally in the cosmetics/beauty industry.
Proven success in building and upgrading a packaging function (team and processes).
Expertise in packaging testing, compatibility checks, and troubleshooting complex issues.
Strong understanding of packaging materials (plastic, glass, etc.) and their reaction with the product inside.
Aware of packaging regulations (safety, labeling) and able to work with the legal team to ensure compliance.
Strong leadership history, including hiring, mentoring, and managing team performance.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia. (Will be reporting to Singapore.
