About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team at a global leader in third-party grading, authentication, and marketplaces for high-value collectibles. This position is based in our Tokyo office with flexibility for partial remote work and plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving the achievement of business goals through deep financial insights.

 

As a member of the Finance team, you will work closely with executive leadership to support both operational management and strategic initiatives- such as investment decisions, business improvements, new business creation, and long-term planning. This role reports to the Finance Director in Japan and collaborates cross-functionally with key business and operational leaders to enable data-driven, financially sound decisions.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with business unit and manufacturing leaders to provide strategic and operational support through in-depth financial analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of annual and mid- to long-term business plans with cross-functional teams such as Marketing and Product.
  • Build a robust KPI reporting structure to monitor and visualize performance metrics.
  • Design and operate forecasting models and review cycles to deliver timely and accurate progress updates against strategic goals.
  • Provide actionable analysis to support revenue growth and cost optimization strategies.
  • Handle additional financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Required Skills

Who You Are:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), preferably in a mid- to large-sized operating company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to clearly explain complex topics across all organizational levels.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to translate insights into strategic actions.
  • Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and business plan development in collaboration with business leaders.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong capabilities in data organization, management, and modeling.
  • Deep understanding and analysis of financial statements.
  • Experienced in KPI and business reporting tool preparation and utilization.
  • Detail-oriented and self-driven with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, JGAAP, and other relevant financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with financial process operations and system implementation.
  • Comfortable using English for business-level reading and writing.
  • Interest in collectibles and/or sports is a plus.
