■Main Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership
・Design evaluate and optimize synthetic routes for client projects.
・Provide scientific guidance on reaction mechanisms the selection of synthetic routes and troubleshooting.
・Review experimental plans and ensure scientific rigor throughout all project activities.
・Oversee the interpretation of analytical data （NMR LC MS GC MS HPLC etc.）.
・Assist with process development scale up and technology transfer as needed.

2. Project Management
・Lead multiple chemical projects simultaneously and ensure the delivery of high quality deliverables on schedule.
・Define project scope milestones schedules and resource allocation.
・Identify project risks and implement risk mitigation measures.
・Manage scope changes and communicate their impact to internal teams and clients.
・Effectively carry out duties within the FTE/FFS project model.

3. Client Communication and Stakeholder Management
・Lead technical communication with stakeholders including clients and our company’s R D team in China.
・Provide clear and timely technical updates reports and presentations.
・Facilitate milestone meetings and technical discussions with clients.
・Build and maintain strong trust based relationships with clients.
・Adapt communication styles to accommodate diverse cultural and organizational backgrounds.

4. Team Leadership and Talent Development
・Lead and mentor a team of chemists with varying levels of experience.
・Assign tasks review results and ensure compliance with scientific and operational standards.
・Foster a culture that prioritizes safety quality and continuous improvement.
・Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams （e.g. analysis process quality assurance procurement）.

5. Operational Excellence
・Ensure that project documentation is accurate complete and audit ready.
・Maintain compliance with EHS intellectual property protection and data integrity requirements.
・Identify workflow inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
・Support initiatives to upgrade laboratory equipment optimize workflows and advance digitization.
・Accurately monitor trends in domestic and international laws regulations and industry guidelines and strengthen compliance systems related to chemical substance management quality assurance occupational safety and health and import/export controls.
・Properly manage laboratory personnel equipment budgets and operational resources to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations.

6. Problem Solving and Decision Making
・Analyze complex technical and operational challenges and make timely decisions.
・Practice systematic problem solving methods and data driven decision making.
・Balance “project deliverables” with “project schedules and client expectations.”

7. Business and Commercial Awareness
・Understand the CRO’s business model cost structure and factors affecting profitability.
・For contract projects assist with preparing proposals for clients defining project scope and negotiating with clients. （Our Business Development team serves as the primary point of contact for direct negotiations with clients.）
・Stay up to date on the latest information regarding market trends emerging technologies and the competitive landscape.
・Align project execution with broader business strategies.

■主な業務内容
1. 技術リーダーシップ（Technical Leadership）
・顧客プロジェクトにおける合成ルートの設計、評価および最適化を行う。
・反応機構、合成ルートの選定、トラブルシューティングに関する科学的な指導を行う。
・実験計画をレビューし、すべてのプロジェクト活動において科学的妥当性を確保する。
・NMR、LC MS、GC MS、HPLCなどの分析データの解析・解釈を統括する。
・必要に応じて、プロセス開発、スケールアップ、および技術移管を支援する。

2. プロジェクトマネジメント（Project Management）
・複数の化学プロジェクトを同時にリードし、高品質な成果物を期限内に提供する。
・プロジェクトのスコープ、マイルストーン、スケジュール、およびリソース配分を定義する。
・プロジェクトリスクを特定し、リスク軽減策を実施する。
・スコープ変更を管理し、その影響を社内チームおよび顧客へ適切に伝達する。
・FTE／FFSプロジェクトモデルのもとで、効果的に業務を遂行する。

3. 顧客対応およびステークホルダーマネジメント（Client Communication and Stakeholder Management）
・顧客および中国の研究開発チームを含む関係者との技術的コミュニケーションを主導する。
・技術的な進捗状況、報告書、プレゼンテーションを明確かつ適時に提供する。
・顧客とのマイルストーン会議および技術ディスカッションを主導する。
・顧客との信頼関係を構築・維持する。
・多様な文化的・組織的背景に応じてコミュニケーションスタイルを柔軟に調整する。

4. チームリーダーシップおよび人材育成（Team Leadership and Talent Development）
・経験レベルの異なる化学者チームを指導・育成する。

・研究所の人員、設備、予算および業務資源を適切に管理し、安全かつ効率的な研究所運営を実現する。

・複雑な技術的・運営上の課題を分析し、適時に意思決定を行う。
・体系的な問題解決手法およびデータに基づく意思決定を実践する。
・プロジェクト成果物、スケジュール、および顧客の期待のバランスを適切に管理する。

7. ビジネスおよび商業的視点（Business and Commercial Awareness）
・CROビジネスモデル、コスト構造、および収益性に影響を与える要因を理解する。
・受託案件において、顧客向け提案書の作成、プロジェクトスコープの策定、および顧客との折衝を支援する（直接交渉の窓口はBDチームが担当）。
・市場動向、新興技術、および競争環境に関する最新情報を継続的に把握する。
・プロジェクト遂行を事業戦略全体と整合させる。・

■Required Qualifications
・At least 6 years of experience in research and development leadership or project management in the chemical industry （pharmaceuticals agrochemicals fine chemicals etc.）.
・Ph.D. in organic chemistry or a related field.
・Advanced expertise in organic synthetic chemistry and the interpretation of analytical data.
・Experience leading R D teams throughout the entire project lifecycle from process development to technology transfer.
・Excellent communication and presentation skills.
・Ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
・Excellent organizational skills initiative and problem solving abilities.
・Fluency in Japanese and English （reading writing and speaking）.
・Good understanding of GMP management is required.

・Experience in CRO projects particularly with FTE/FFS project models （whether as a contractor or a client）.

■必須要件
・化学業界（医薬品、農薬、ファインケミカル等）において、研究開発リーダーまたはプロジェクトマネージャーとして6年以上の経験を有すること。
・有機化学または関連分野の博士号（Ph.D.）を有すること。
・有機合成化学および分析データ解析に関する高度な専門知識を有すること。
・プロセス開発から技術移管まで、研究開発チームをプロジェクトライフサイクル全体にわたり主導した経験を有すること。
・優れたコミュニケーション能力およびプレゼンテーション能力を有すること。
