POSITION SUMMARY
Join a well-established food company as a Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will help lead regulatory compliance efforts for products sold throughout North America, ensuring compliance with FDA and other applicable regulations. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, you will play a critical role in product compliance, risk management, and regulatory strategy within a fast-paced international environment.

• Serve as a key regulatory resource for product compliance, ensuring food products meet FDA, USDA, and applicable international regulatory requirements.

• Lead the review and approval of product labels, ingredient declarations, allergen statements, nutrition facts panels, and marketing claims.

• Collaborate with global suppliers and internal teams to support private label development, product launches, and regulatory compliance strategies.

• Evaluate regulatory requirements and provide timely guidance and recommendations to management and business stakeholders.

• Maintain compliance documentation, regulatory databases, and product records while monitoring changes in applicable regulations.

• Support cross-functional initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure the highest standards of product compliance and food safety.

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, product compliance, or a related role within the food industry.

• Working knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations, food labeling requirements, and product compliance standards.

• Understanding of food ingredients, food processing, food chemistry, and food safety principles.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical regulatory requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
