Are you fluent in English and passionate about helping others grow?

Join a fast-growing, publicly listed education company operating one of Japan’s leading English-coaching services. Rather than teaching conventional lessons, you will provide personalized coaching to help clients develop effective learning habits and achieve practical, measurable results.

No previous coaching experience is required. Existing coaches have joined from diverse backgrounds, including hospitality, aviation, sales, education, administration, and customer service.

Your Responsibilities

As an English Learning Coach, you will:

• Assess each client’s listening, speaking, vocabulary, and overall English ability
• Identify individual learning challenges
• Create personalized study plans based on clients’ goals and lifestyles
• Conduct weekly face-to-face coaching sessions
• Provide daily support through chat and online communication
• Monitor progress and adjust learning strategies
• Help clients maintain motivation and effective study habits
• Introduce continued-learning options after the initial program

This client-facing role combines education, coaching, customer success, and consultative communication.

Positions are available in:

• Tokyo
• Umeda, Osaka
• Kobe-Sannomiya
• Kyoto-Kawaramachi

Requirements

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• English ability equivalent to approximately TOEIC 800 or above
• Overseas study, work, or living experience

TOEFL, IELTS, EIKEN, and other equivalent qualifications are also accepted.

Preferred Backgrounds

Experience in any of the following areas would be valuable:

• English teaching, tutoring, or education
• Overseas study or working-holiday experience
• Hospitality, hotels, travel, or aviation
• Customer service, sales, or consulting
• Administration, reception, or secretarial work
• Translation, interpretation, or international business

Training and Development

You will begin with two weeks of structured training covering:

• English-learning consulting fundamentals
• Applied linguistics and effective study methods
• Client assessment and goal setting
• Coaching techniques for different learner profiles
• Practical case studies and communication methods

Experienced team members will continue supporting you after you begin managing clients.

You will also have access to internal learning materials and two free TOEIC examinations per year.
