Backend Engineer

Job Description:

In this backend engineer role, you will primarily be responsible for the API development and operation of our client's Travel services. The role involves using Java and Spring to handle a wide range of responsibilities, spanning everything from architectural planning and system design to responding to user inquiries. You will collaborate with related teams within the client's Group such as those managing payments, loyalty points, and member accounts to handle high-volume traffic.

Work Environment:

Development: Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Cloud Config, JUnit, Apache Maven, IntelliJ IDEA

Middleware: Oracle Database, Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kong, Nginx, Tomcat

Infrastructure: Private cloud (IaaS/Virtual Machines)

Monitoring: Jennifer (APM), New Relic (APM), ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus, Grafana, Oracle Enterprise Manager, MongoDB Ops Manager, PagerDuty

CI/CD: Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible

Other: Microsoft Teams, Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

・6+ years of experience in the design, development, and operation of large-scale Web APIs on Linux servers using Java and Spring Framework

・Experience in table design and query creation for the efficient use of RDBMS (e.g., Oracle Database) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)

・Experience in distributed development using version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket) and pull requests
