Job Description

POSITION TITLE Associate/Analyst Credit Risk

 

POSITION SUMMARY

In this position, you will support the credit risk management function within a precious metals trading business by assisting with credit line applications, monitoring counterparty exposure, conducting financial analysis, and preparing credit-related documentation to help maintain and strengthen the organization's credit risk framework.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in preparing credit line applications for new facilities, renewals, and amendments

  • Collect, organize, and analyze financial statements and supporting documents from counterparties

  • Support the preparation and maintenance of internal credit approval documentation

  • Monitor counterparty credit exposure and utilization levels

  • Maintain credit monitoring tools, files, and reporting trackers

  • Assist in preparing periodic reports for management and internal committees

  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and credit-related teams

  • Conduct basic financial analysis, including ratio and trend analysis

  • Gather and summarize relevant industry and market information

  • Support process improvement initiatives related to credit risk operations

  • Maintain and update credit procedures, templates, and collateral records


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field

  • 1-4 years of experience in credit risk, finance, accounting, middle office, or related functions

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

  • Ability to perform financial ratio and trend analysis

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of or interest in commodities trading, particularly precious metals

  • Familiarity with credit documentation, approval processes, or risk management frameworks

  • Exposure to financial analysis, credit analysis, or risk management activities
