The Opportunity Stepping into this role means moving beyond pure advisory into true operational execution. Rather than building models for third-party clients, you will sit at the decision-making table alongside company Founders, executive leaders, and global advisors.
You will act as an internal strategic catalyst, evaluating high-stakes corporate actions, from identifying M&A targets and conducting due diligence to shaping capital raises, equity stories, and long-term value creation plans. This position offers a rare chance for investment bankers, private equity analysts, and strategy consultants to transition in-house and directly influence the trajectory of a pre-IPO robotics leader.
Key Responsibilities
M&A & Deal Execution: Lead target identification, financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and post-acquisition Value Creation Plan development.
Strategic Financial Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated, multi-scenario financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, DCF) for strategic corporate actions, long-term business plans, and new initiatives.
Capital Markets & Fundraising: Analyze capital requirements, cash runway dynamics, dilution impact, and debt vs. equity structures to optimize the company's capital structure.
Investor Relations & Equity Storytelling: Perform market benchmarking, peer group analysis, and precedent transaction studies to craft compelling narratives for investors and board members.
Executive Decision Support: Structure complex, ambiguous business problems into clear analytical frameworks, strategic proposals, and executive-level presentations.

Business Acumen: Demonstrated experience evaluating corporate actions, M&A transactions, capital raises, or long-term corporate strategies.
Language Skills: Native-level Japanese fluency paired with business-level English proficiency.
Mindset: Highly proactive, intellectually curious, and eager to step out of advisory to take full operational ownership in a fast-paced technology enterprise.
