You will have responsibility for all legal matters in Japan and be a vital part of growing the business.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Provide end-to-end legal support for major energy and infrastructure projects across APAC, from bidding and contract negotiation through execution, warranty, and service
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and project agreements, while identifying and managing contractual and commercial risks
  • Partner with Sales, Project Management, Finance, Insurance, and other business functions to deliver practical, commercially focused legal solutions
  • Support broader legal matters including corporate transactions, IP/IT, disputes, claims, and cross-border projects, working closely with regional and global legal teams
  • Serve as a key compliance adviser across areas including anti-bribery, competition law, data privacy, financial crime, human rights, and export controls
