Job Description

  • Plan and manage the procurement of raw materials and packaging materials in line with production requirements, while coordinating supply to contract manufacturing partners and managing purchase orders, forecasts, and supplier lead times.
  • Monitor supply risks and develop effective mitigation plans through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage medium- and long-term inventory planning, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize inventory levels, improve cost efficiency, and ensure warehouse capacity availability.
  • Coordinate new product launches with key stakeholders, ensuring timely execution and proactive risk management.
  • Oversee regulated materials and quality-related issues, while coordinating packaging change implementations across relevant departments.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supply chain visibility, data management, and process automation, including SAP system monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Finance and other business functions on import/export activities and drive continuous improvement projects across the end-to-end supply chain.

Required Skills

  • Experience: Practical experience in supply chain management, procurement, or inventory control, with a solid understanding of production planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management processes.
  • Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) and manufacturing systems, along with the ability to leverage data analytics tools to support decision-making and process improvement. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and navigate conflicting priorities. Knowledge of GMP, HSE, and continuous improvement practices is advantageous.
  • Languages: Native-level Japanese proficiency required; working-level English sufficient for day-to-day business communication.
