Company and Job Overview

• Our client is seeking an experienced Level 3 Server Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise in server infrastructure, virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise system administration. This candidate will serve as the highest escalation point for server-related incidents, lead infrastructure projects, support cloud transformation initiatives, and ensure the stability, security, and performance of customer environments.

• The role requires strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, VMware virtualization, Microsoft Azure, M365 services, backup solutions, and enterprise infrastructure operations.

Job Responsibilities 

• Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting for server and infrastructure-related incidents.

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments and Active Directory services.

• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.

• Support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments.

• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID.

• Perform system monitoring, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and security hardening activities.

• Lead infrastructure deployment, migration, and cloud transformation projects.

• Prepare technical documentation and provide guidance to junior engineers.

• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality IT solutions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 

• Must have at least 6+ years of experience in server, infrastructure, or cloud engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  - Windows Server
  - Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  - VMware vSphere / ESXi
  - Microsoft Azure
  - Microsoft 365
  - Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation is an advantage.

• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and IT security best practices.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Azure Certifications

• VMware VCP

• ITIL Foundation

• Security-related certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
