About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, EHS to support and oversee environmental, health and safety operations across multiple project and operational sites within a data center / digital infrastructure environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, driving safety standards and supporting ongoing construction and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures and programmes
Conduct regular audits, inspections and risk assessments across operational and project sites
Oversee and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and local safety certifications (e.g. BizSafe)
Act as the subject matter expert on EHS matters, advising internal stakeholders and project teams
Monitor and investigate incidents, near misses and safety issues, ensuring proper reporting and closure
Review risk assessments, safe work procedures and contractor safety documentation
Support and oversee high-risk work activities, ensuring safe execution and compliance
Work closely with project and operations teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated into planning and execution
Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions
Support safety meetings, prepare reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, ideally within operations and project environments
Experience in industries such as data centre, construction, facilities management or manufacturing would be advantageous
Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) is mandatory
Additional certifications such as ECO, Fire Safety Manager or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are preferred
Experience managing contractors and overseeing construction / A&A / fit-out projects
Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and compliance requirements
Good communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
