Company Overview
Our client is a global contractor with a prestigious heritage in marine engineering, land reclamation, and large-scale civil construction. They are renowned for delivering iconic infrastructure, high-tech industrial facilities, and complex building projects. As they continue to drive growth and expansion, they are now seeking a Planning Engineer to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Management: Develop, control, and update the Master Programme and construction schedules; incorporate actual progress, revised sequences, and additional works into planning documents.
Progress Monitoring: Track resources and work progress against the baseline schedule; maintain records of site activities, including monthly progress photographs and videos.
Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly manpower and equipment reports; compile and maintain comprehensive Monthly Progress Reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Issue regular progress updates to the Construction, Engineering, and Contract teams to ensure alignment across all disciplines.
Delay Analysis & Mitigation: Identify progress deviations and conduct thorough delay impact analyses; develop recovery programs and prepare substantiation records for excusable delays.
Key Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Civil projects. (Candidates with 8–10 years of experience will be considered for Senior roles).
Technical Skills: Proficient in project life cycle management and expert-level usage of Primavera P6.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methodologies and construction sequencing.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and inter-departmental coordination.
Analytical Ability: Strong data analysis skills to support delay mitigation and resource optimization.
