Job Title: Merchandiser (Men's) - Fashion Retail
Location: Singapore
Your New Company A globally expanding fashion and lifestyle brand with a strong presence across retail and e‑commerce platforms is looking to strengthen its merchandising team. The company focuses on trend‑driven yet accessible collections, with a growing footprint across Asia Pacific and international markets.
Your New Role As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the merchandising strategy for key product categories across multiple markets. This role requires a strong balance of commercial acumen, market insight, and product sensibility, working closely with cross‑functional teams to drive assortment planning, product performance, and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities 1. Collection Planning
Develop and execute product line plans across footwear, bags, and accessories for assigned categories.
Build regional assortment strategies based on brand direction, market trends, and consumer insights.
Identify key products and seasonal “must‑haves” tailored to different markets.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform future product development and strategy.
2. Merchandise Management
Collaborate with product development, supply chain, and planning teams to drive best‑seller creation and category growth.
Partner closely with merchandising planning to optimise product mix, performance, and profitability across regions.
Work with visual merchandising teams to align product presentation strategies and enhance in‑store and online sell‑through.
3. Product Management
Maintain and refine product classification frameworks to support accurate reporting and performance analysis.
Ensure product categorisation remains relevant and aligned with business needs.
4. Pricing Strategy
Support the development of seasonal pricing strategies, ensuring competitiveness and margin targets are achieved.
Analyse pricing gaps and recommend adjustments based on market benchmarks and perceived product value.
5. Seasonal Buying Preparation
Coordinate timelines and deliverables across teams to ensure smooth seasonal launches.
Communicate merchandising direction and key initiatives to internal stakeholders and regional buying teams.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyse sales performance, identify trends and gaps, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Prepare dashboards and reports using relevant tools to track product and regional performance.
Conduct post‑season reviews to evaluate product success and recommend improvements for future cycles.
Qualifications
Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Retail, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in merchandising or a similar function within fashion or retail.
Experience working with regional markets, particularly across Asia, is an advantage.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive commercial decisions.
High proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
Strong stakeholder management, organisational, and planning skills.
Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
Passion for fashion, trends, and consumer behaviour.
