Position Overview
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure that products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and internal quality requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing and supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements
Oversee quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities across raw materials, production, and finished products
Ensure products comply with relevant regulations (e.g., FDA, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, local regulatory bodies)
Lead internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and certification processes
Manage product quality issues, deviations, non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, supply chain) to ensure quality standards are embedded in all processes
Establish and monitor quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee supplier quality management, including qualification, audits, and performance monitoring
Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and compliance with data integrity standards
Lead, coach, and develop the quality team to ensure high performance and capability building
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in quality management within FMCG, personal care, or cosmetics industry
Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 22716 (Cosmetics GMP), and regulatory requirements
Experience handling audits (internal, external, regulatory inspections)
Proven track record in managing quality systems, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong understanding of product formulation, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques
Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities across cross-functional teams
Good command of English and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
