Our client, a pioneer in location and technology, is seeking a Head of Legal to lead their global legal management efforts. This role offers the opportunity to oversee legal strategies across multiple countries, supporting business growth and gaining experience in international legal management. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee global legal risk management for the entire group
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
- Manage and develop in-house legal staff
- Provide legal advice on data utilization laws
- Support legal due diligence for M&A and alliances
- Coordinate with external lawyers for complex legal issues
- Advise on legal compliance for international operations
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in corporate legal practice, including commercial and contract law
- Fluency in Japanese and English or Chinese
- Experience with cross-border contract negotiation and documentation
- Experience in legal support for board/shareholder meetings in listed companies
- Collaboration with external lawyers for legal risk analysis and decision support
- Communication skills for legal support across departments (management, finance, compliance)
- Legal qualification (Japan or overseas) is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in M&A, alliances, and organizational restructuring is preferred but not mandatory
