Financial Controller, FMCG ファイナンシャルコントローラー, FMCG - Hybrid (13-16m JPY)



Our client, a renowned company in the FMCG industry with a strong presence in the beauty and cosmetics sector, is seeking a Financial Controller for a hybrid role in Tokyo. This position offers the opportunity to lead and oversee critical financial functions, including accounting, audit, tax, and treasury, while working closely with corporate and brand managers. The role offers a competitive salary range of 13-16 million JPY and a hybrid work setup.


Key Responsibilities:

- Lead accounting, audit, tax, treasury, and budgeting functions
- Coordinate financial statement closing and audit activities
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with USGAAP and SOX
- Supervise general ledger and accounts payable groups
- Serve as liaison to regional and NY offices for financial matters
- Assist in annual budgeting and planning process
- Manage performance of invested assets and capital expenditure
- Implement ERP system for financial operations


Qualifications:

- 10+ years in accounting or finance experience
- Knowledge of Japan/US GAAP & reporting requirements
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English
- Experience leading a team of professionals (
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP system is preferred but not mandatory
- CPA or CIA certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in FMCG industry is preferred but not mandatory
