Project Manager

• Lead end-to-end operator certification for Microsoft Surface devices in Japan, coordinating with mobile operators, third-party test labs, and internal engineering teams to ensure timely compliance, defect resolution, and final operator approval aligned with product launch timelines.
• Translate operator requirements into actionable engineering inputs and maintain a continuous feedback loop between operators and Microsoft engineering teams.
• Drive deployment readiness, including pre-launch validation and post-launch troubleshooting, and act as the primary escalation point for cross-functional technical issues involving operators, labs, and OEM partners.
• Serve as the primary technical and business liaison to Japanese mobile operators, supporting discussions on security, closed-network environments, and certification constraints impacting deal execution.
• Provide operator and market insights to support shipment forecasting, revenue planning, and regional strategy decisions.
• Identify and mitigate certification, regulatory, and deployment risks that could impact enterprise-scale rollouts in Japan.

• Experience in mobile operator certification, compliance, or device approval processes in Japan
• Strong relationships with Japanese mobile network operators and enterprise ecosystem partners
• Technical understanding of 5G/LTE device deployment, wireless standards, and network integration
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional coordination across engineering teams, labs, OEMs, and operators
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (business and technical communication)
