Job Responsibilities
Lead the overall direction and long-term growth strategy of a flagship international education-focused event
Own end‑to‑end event delivery, from concept development through execution and post‑event evaluation
Drive revenue generation across exhibitions, sponsorships, delegate sales, and strategic partnerships
Manage the full event budget and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost discipline
Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, partners, and industry stakeholders
Oversee and develop a high-performing, cross-functional team across sales, marketing, operations, and content
Provide regular performance updates, identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement actions
Guide content strategy to ensure relevant, high-quality conference programmes and speakers
Work closely with marketing teams to strengthen brand positioning, campaigns, and audience growth
Act as a senior ambassador for the event, expanding influence, partnerships, and long-term impact
Job Requirements
Proven senior leadership experience within international exhibitions or large-scale events
Strong track record of launching, scaling, or revitalising major conferences or trade shows
Solid understanding of managing P&L and commercial performance
Experience working with senior external stakeholders, including government or institutional partners
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and close growth opportunities
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Confident leading diverse teams and managing multiple workstreams concurrently
Strategic, data-driven thinker with strong problem-solving capability
Willingness to travel as required by the role
