Key Responsibilities & Skills
Vendor Identification: Identify and evaluate potential vendors/suppliers based on organizational requirements and quality criteria.
Raw Material Expertise: Strong knowledge of raw materials with hands‑on experience negotiating with RM manufacturers.
Quality Assurance: Review technical drawings/specifications to ensure materials meet engineering and quality standards.
Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and finalize favourable vendor contracts.
Compliance & Quality Monitoring: Ensure all vendors meet company quality, performance, and compliance standards.
Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of sheet metal, welding, pipe fabrication, and related processes.
Techno‑Commercial Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills with proficiency in preparing techno‑commercial comparative statements.
Technical Tools: Proficient in SAP, MS Office, research, and commercial negotiation workflows.
Vendor Performance Management: Monitor vendor KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
Vendor Onboarding: Develop and implement structured vendor onboarding programs.
Vendor Audits: Conduct vendor audits and schedule site visits as required.
PO/WO Management: Obtain management approvals and release POs/WOs with detailed terms & conditions.
ERP & Documentation: Hands‑on experience in preparing POs/WOs using ERP systems.
Cross‑Functional Coordination: Collaborate with multiple departments to maintain an efficient and effective supply chain.
Risk Management: Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain risks.
