Job Title: Treasury Manager (Manufacturing)

Your New Company

The client I am representing is part of a long‑established global industrial group headquartered in Japan, known for developing advanced diesel engines, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, marine systems, energy solutions, and industrial components. With origins dating back to the 1900s, the group has expanded worldwide across multiple technical domains, supplying engines and machinery used in seagoing vessels, construction equipment, agricultural systems, power generation, and more. 

The Singapore entity functions as a dedicated corporate support office within this global network. They provide office administrative services and coordination support that enable international business operations across the group’s global units. Operating from Singapore’s central business district, the team supports corporate processes, cross‑border administrative functions, and alignment with global stakeholders headquartered in Japan.

Your New Role

  • Oversee daily cash management, fund movements, loan drawdowns, FX hedging, cash settlements, reconciliations, and issue resolution to ensure smooth financial operations.

  • Manage borrowing strategies, working capital optimization, cash flow forecasting, and month‑end treasury reporting.

  • Support overseas entities on fund management, financing structures, banking regulations, cash flow analysis, and coordination of group financing requirements.

  • Act as liaison for credit facilities from both intercompany sources and external banks.

  • Evaluate funding structures, cost of capital, and provide monthly financial and market outlooks (interest rate and FX trends) for planning and hedging decisions.

  • Recommend banking products and financial solutions; support M&A and restructuring from a treasury perspective.

  • Execute hedging strategies, assess FX and interest rate risks, and conduct ad‑hoc risk analysis.

  • Contribute to development and improvement of global cash management policies, processes, and treasury systems to enhance efficiency and automation.

  • Evaluate banking services and fees; manage bank account openings/closures, signatory updates, and maintain the database of all bank accounts.

  • Support the establishment and maintenance of banking relationships and liaise with corporate secretary for finance‑related resolutions.

Key Qualifications for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, with at least 8 years of treasury experience in a regional or global capacity.

  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, including foreign currency exposure analysis and hedging concepts; CPA or CFA qualification is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and prior exposure to the banking sector or multicultural environments is beneficial.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

  • Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborative team player with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

  • Self‑motivated, focused, and driven to complete tasks accurately and efficiently, with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) only.
