A Japanese fintech company is launching a technology-enabled financial intermediary and is seeking a Head of Finance to build and lead the finance function in Japan. This is a rare, senior leadership opportunity to join a high-profile venture at an early stage, working directly with the Japan CEO to shape financial strategy, governance, and long-term scalability. You will play a central role in establishing strong financial foundations while acting as a strategic partner to the leadership team.

• Report directly to the Japan CEO, acting as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership
• Build and oversee a robust financial control and governance framework, ensuring accuracy and transparency
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support growth and strategic decision-making
• Develop management and investor reporting for local and global stakeholders, including the board
• Establish and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage external partners such as auditors, tax advisors, and professional service providers
• Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis, business planning, and scenario modeling
• Prepare the organization for scale, including systems implementation, process design, and team build-out
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements for a market infrastructure / intermediary business

必須条件経験・資格：

• 経理財務部長、財務責任者、ファイナンシャルコントローラーなど、経理財務部門のリーダーとしての実績
• 金融業界経験（できれば資本市場、証券、ブローカレッジ、取引プラットフォーム、またはフィンテック関連）
• 日本会計基準（J-GAAP）、内部統制（J-SOX）や日本の報告要件・制度に関する専門知識

• 経営陣のパートナーを務められるビジネス感覚（※報告や数字を管理するだけでは不充分）
• 判断力、行動力

• 日本語：ネイティブレベル
• 英語：ビジネスレベル

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (e.g., Head of Finance, Finance Director, Controller)
• Background in financial services, ideally capital markets, securities, brokerage, trading platforms, or fintech
• Strong knowledge of financial control, accounting standards, and regulatory reporting in Japan
• Experience building or upgrading finance functions in a growing or newly established organization

• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to partner closely with business leaders
• Strategic thinker who can balance hands-on execution with long-term planning
• High ownership, accountability, and leadership presence

• Japanese: Native level
• English: Business level
