JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a pivotal position designed for a compliance professional who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of regulatory compliance for the Singapore operations, translating complex MAS requirements into actionable, scalable processes that support both local and regional growth.
Framework Leadership: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the firm’s Singapore compliance framework.
Policy Management: Maintain and update all compliance policies, manuals, and procedures to ensure continuous adherence to MAS requirements.
Regulatory Intelligence: Track regulatory changes, perform thorough gap analyses, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement necessary process updates.
Controls & Registers
Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for MAS, managing all inspections, filings, surveys, and formal communications.
Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Business, Product, and Operational units to provide expert compliance guidance on new initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The client is looking for a specialist with a deep understanding of the Singapore payments landscape. Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Total Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance within financial institutions.
MPI Domain Expertise: At least 3–4 years of direct experience specifically within a Major Payment Institution (MPI) under the Payment Services Act.
MAS Liaison: Proven, hands-on experience liaising directly with the Monetary Authority of Singapore is mandatory.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Singapore MAS requirements for MPIs and the ability to interpret these into practical business workflows.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
