English Speaking Site Reliability Engineer

Role Overview

We are establishing a new Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of increasingly complex systems, including telecommunications APIs, payment platforms, and data infrastructure.

As an SRE, you will work closely with product and development teams to balance system reliability and developer productivity. This is a core role in a high-growth phase, offering the opportunity to design and build the technical foundation from the ground up.

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and/or Google Cloud
2. Design and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
3. Build and operate monitoring and logging systems (Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, etc.)
4. Incident detection, response, postmortems, and prevention of recurrence
5. Performance tuning and system optimization
6. Security initiatives (vulnerability management, access control, encryption)
7. Automate deployment and operations in collaboration with development teams
8. Continuous improvements for reliability, scalability, and cost optimization

Required Qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience building and operating infrastructure on AWS or GCP
2. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
3. Experience operating containerized applications (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, etc.)
4. Experience designing and automating CI/CD pipelines
5. Practical experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response
6. Strong understanding of security, availability, and scalability principles
7. Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience designing and managing SLOs / SLAs
2. Performance optimization experience in large-scale web applications or SaaS
3. SRE experience in Fintech, telecom, or global services
4. Strong security or networking expertise
5. Team leadership or management experience

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Conversational level
  • Equivalent to JLPT N3-4 level or higher
  • Able to handle basic work conversations and chat communication
• English: Fluent
