This is a senior leadership opportunity within a leading international bank, responsible for owning and growing the Trading Companies and Heavy & Energy sector coverage in Japan. As Sector Head, you will drive origination, portfolio growth, and cross-border franchise development, working closely with senior clients and global stakeholders. The role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and influence over the bank's corporate banking strategy in Japan.

• Own and execute the sector strategy for Trading Companies and Heavy & Energy clients in Japan, aligned with global business priorities.
• Act as the primary relationship owner for senior clients, driving origination across lending and transaction banking solutions.
• Expand the client franchise by identifying new opportunities and increasing wallet share with key strategic accounts.
• Deliver sustainable revenue growth while maintaining disciplined risk and return management across the portfolio.
• Partner closely with credit, risk, and product teams to structure compliant and client-appropriate solutions.
• Provide leadership to the coverage team, supporting talent development and high performance standards.
• Coordinate with regional and global stakeholders to support cross-border mandates and client activity.

必須条件 経験・資格：

• コーポレートバンキング、または投資銀行における商社、重工業、エネルギー、インフラセクターのカバレッジ経験
• 日本企業を取り巻くマクロ経済、規制、地政学的要因への深い理解
• 大企業・多国籍企業に対するシニアレベルのリレーションシップ構築・案件創出実績
• 財務分析・クレジット分析に関する高い知見と、バランスの取れたリスク管理能力

• チームを導き、関係者を巻き込みながらビジネスを推進する強いリーダーシップ
• 優れたビジネス感覚・知識、的確な判断力
• 関係構築を重視するスタイル
• 国内外の関係者と信頼関係を築ける高いコミュニケーション力

• 日本語：ネイティブレベル
• 英語：上級ビジネスレベル以上

• Extensive experience covering Trading Companies, Heavy Industry, Energy, or Infrastructure clients within corporate or institutional banking.
• Deep sector expertise, including understanding of macroeconomic, regulatory, and geopolitical factors impacting Japanese corporates.
• Proven ability to originate and manage senior-level client relationships within complex multinational organisations.
• Strong financial and credit analysis capability with a balanced approach to risk management and returns.

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, develop, and guide teams in a collaborative environment.
• Commercially minded and relationship-driven with sound judgment and disciplined decision-making.
• Confident communicator capable of building trust with senior clients and internal stakeholders across cultures.

• Japanese: Native level.
• English: Fluent level.

• Prior experience working within a global matrix organisation, coordinating across regions, products, and functions.
• Demonstrated track record of building long-term client franchises rather than purely transactional relationships.
