Qnity is a global leader in advanced materials for consumer electronics and industrial sectors. We are seeking a Contract Manufacturing Manager to oversee and optimize relationships with third-party manufacturers across the region. This is a high-impact role where you’ll ensure operational excellence, drive supplier performance, and support new product launches.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Regional Contract Manufacturing Partners
    Oversee all third-party manufacturing partners in your region, ensuring they meet Qnity's standards for engineering, technical support, and process safety.

  • Be the First Point of Contact for Critical Issues
    Lead organizational response to supplier-related challenges and act as the primary liaison for crisis management.

  • Drive Supplier Performance and Continuous Improvement
    Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve raw material quality. Monitor supplier performance through audits, reviews, and metrics covering safety, quality, reliability, and cost.

  • Collaborate Across Functions
    Work closely with sourcing, procurement, R&D, technology leaders, operations, and quality teams to resolve issues and align strategies.

  • Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence
    Verify supplier adherence to contractual obligations, EHS standards, and quality specifications. Manage documentation such as supply agreements, confidentiality agreements, and technology packages.

  • Lead Change and New Activity Integration
    Act as the focal point for Management of Change processes and support the introduction of new products or activities at existing suppliers, ensuring smooth implementation using Qnity's operational frameworks.

  • Monitor Financials and Reporting
    Track supplier spend through SAP and lead metric reporting processes to drive transparency and accountability.

Compensation & Benefits

Work Location

  • Qnity Group Headquarters
  • Sanno Park Tower, 2-11-1 Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-6111 (1-minute walk from Tameike-Sanno Station)

Salary

  • Final amount will be determined based on experience and ability.
  • The above range includes base salary + performance-based bonus.
  • Performance-based bonus: Generally paid once a year in March, based on individual performance and business unit results.

Working Hours

  • Standard working hours apply.
  • Flexible work system available with core time: 11:00 – 15:00.
  • If a discretionary labor system applies, flextime does not apply, and work is considered as 8 hours per day. In this case, a separate discretionary allowance will be provided.

Minimum Experience Level Over 10 years

Required Skills

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Science, Engineering, or equivalent Technical Degree  

  • Six Sigma Green belt (or higher) certification preferred 

  • CPIM Part 1 certification preferred 

  • Fluent in English 

Experience 

  • 5 or more years of manufacturing operations and/or supply chain experience is required 

  • Strong background in manufacturing is preferred 

  • Technical knowledge related to production of E&I products is highly preferred 

  • Experience with Semiconductor (or similar) change control protocols and quality systems is preferred   

  • Familiarity with new product introduction, management of change, and root cause investigation is beneficial
