[DevOps Engineer] Global Company

【Role and Responsibilities】

• Able to read, write, and speak in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams.
• Actively involved in the primary responsibilities that include but not limited to:
• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and related tools for web and backend services.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for cloud (OpenShift) and hybrid environments.
• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and rollback processes across development, QA, and production stages.
• Collaborate with application, QA, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot build, deployment, and runtime issues.
• Integrate security, quality, and compliance checks into the CI/CD lifecycle.
• Manage version control, branching strategies, and package management (NPM, VS Code ecosystem).
• Assist teams with onboarding and best practice adoption, maintaining documentation in both Japanese and English.
• Actively contribute towards various Transformation initiatives (Process maturity, DevOps automation, etc.) to achieve the project goals
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members while assigning and tracking the tasks for closure without any schedule, quality and cost slippages

Requirements;

• JLPT N3 or above certified. Able to read, write, and communicate in Japanese with native speakers
• 5+ years in DevOps and automation engineering roles.
• Strong experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub), container orchestration (OpenShift), and automation scripting.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture

【Plus if you have】

• Experience integrating testing tools (Playwright, Load Runner) in DevOps pipelines.
• Security certification or experience with DevSecOps.
• Experience managing deployments for Java/NodeJS, React/Angular, and COTS platforms.
• Actively involve in Application transition and stabilization phases
• Familiarity with insurance industry requirements (data privacy, uptime, regulatory integration).
