Job Title: Process Development Engineer – NPI Team
Department: Engineering / New Product Introduction (NPI)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead process development activities for new products from concept through production ramp-up.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to define process requirements and ensure manufacturability.
Develop and optimize assembly, molding, plating, and testing processes.
Design and validate tooling, fixtures, and equipment needed for new processes.
Conduct DOE, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve process capability and yield.
Support pilot builds and production trials, ensuring smooth transition to mass production.
Document process flows, work instructions, and control plans in compliance with quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to cost reduction efforts.
Interface with suppliers and external partners for process validation and equipment sourcing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in process development, preferably in connector, cable, or electronics manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with automation, precision assembly, and testing equipment.
Proficient in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab), CAD software, and process documentation.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Familiarity with ISO, IPC, and other relevant industry standards.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
