  • Lead the entire life cycle of SAP projects (from planning to implementation and operation) and manage schedules, quality, and costs.
  • Mainly working with Japanese companies, and communicating smoothly with stakeholders in both English and Japanese.
  • Collaborate with overseas and domestic SAP consultants, developers, and vendors to promote projects using methods such as Agile and SAP Activate.

〈Job Description〉
Project Leadership and Management:
Lead and oversee the entire project lifecycle of SAP-related projects, from initiation, planning, to execution, monitoring, management, and closure, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in both English and Japanese.
Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies and escalating as needed.
Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular and transparent updates to stakeholders, including executive management, in both English and Japanese. Ensure
adherence to SAP best practices, project management methodologies (eg, Agile, Waterfall, SAP Activate), and internal governance processes.
Stakeholder and Team Management:

Serve as the primary liaison with Japanese clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating project status, challenges, and solutions in Japanese.
Bridge communication gaps between diverse project teams (onshore, offshore, client-side, vendor-side) and foster a team that includes both Japanese and international members.
Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional project teams, including SAP functional consultants, technical developers, business analysts, and third-party vendors, to foster a collaborative and productive environment.
Conduct effective meetings, workshops, and presentations in both Japanese and English.
Facilitate requirements gathering and solution design sessions with Japanese business users, ensuring clear understanding and accurate documentation.

Required Skills

  • 14+ years of experience in SAP project management
  • Those with a track record of working with Japanese companies
  • Business level Japanese and English skills
  • Familiar with multiple project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and SAP Activate
  • (Preferred) People with leadership experience who have achieved results by leading a team and who can adapt flexibly to a multicultural environment
  • (Preferred) People with multiple successful experiences in SAP implementation and transformation projects

  • 14+ years of SAP project management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex SAP implementation or transformation projects.
  • Experience in significant projects with Japanese clients or project management in the Japanese business environment.
  • Experience with various project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.).
  • Language ability:
  • Native or near-native Japanese language proficiency (oral and written), including business-level Japanese etiquette and cultural understanding. Fluent and professional English language proficiency (oral and written), with the ability to lead discussions, prepare reports, and make presentations to international stakeholders.
  • Language skills: Business level Japanese (JLPT N2) and business level English
     
  • Minimum of 14+ years of experience in SAP project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex SAP implementation or transformation projects.
  • Experience managing projects with significant Japanese client engagement or within a Japanese business environment.
  • Experience with different project delivery methodologies (eg, Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

Language Proficiency:

  • Native or near-native fluency in Japanese (verbal and written) , including business-level Japanese etiquette and cultural understanding.
  • Fluent professional proficiency in English (verbal and written) , capable of leading discussions, writing reports, and presenting to international stakeholders.
