Job Description
Our client is an established trucking company in Penang that caters for domestic and cross-border transportation services. As part of their expansion plan, they are looking for Fleet Manager to be part of their team mainly to oversees the daily operations of the company’s fleet of trucks and hauliers, ensuring optimal performance, compliance with regulations, and cost-effective logistics
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the scheduling, dispatch, and routing of trucks and hauliers.
- Monitor fleet performance using GPS and telematics systems.
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety standards, and company policies.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage fuel usage, costs, and implement efficiency strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, licenses, and insurance.
- Recruit, train, and supervise drivers and logistics staff.
- Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Prepare reports on fleet performance, costs, and KPIs for management review
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, road safety regulations, and logistics software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management systems.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience
