Procurement Specialist – Fishing Products (Shiga, Japan)

■ Job Description
You will be responsible for procurement and purchasing of components required for the production of fishing products under the Jackall brand (including lures, fishing gear, apparel, etc.).

Initial Responsibilities

• Optimize component inventory in coordination with production plans (minimize overstock and shortages)
• Review purchasing plans and manage orders based on inventory analysis
• Select suppliers, request quotations, and negotiate prices
• Visualize inventory status and drive initiatives to improve inventory turnover
• Coordinate with production management, procurement departments, and suppliers
• Manage data using ERP systems, Excel, and other tools

Future Responsibilities:

• Lead supplier selection, quotation requests, and price negotiations
• Drive initiatives to improve the quality of supplied materials

Scope of work: Subject to change based on company needs

Full-time (Permanent position)
Trial period: 3 months (During this period, base salary may be reduced by up to ¥10,000)

■ Salary & Benefits
・Base Salary: ¥255,000–¥335,000/month​​​​​​​
・Monthly Salary: ¥265,000–¥345,000
・Expected Annual Income: ¥3,800,000–¥5,000,000
 *Based on 20 hours of overtime per month. Final offer depends on experience and skills.

■ Working Hours
・9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8 hours/day, 1-hour break)
・Average monthly overtime: 20 hours

Head Office: 5-22-7 Mano, Otsu-shi, Shiga Prefecture
・Remote work / transfer: None initially
・Smoking Policy: No smoking on premises (designated indoor smoking area available)
・Work location subject to company-assigned offices

■Required Qualifications:
・Minimum 3 years of practical experience in inventory management or purchasing in the manufacturing industry
・Proven track record managing KPIs such as inventory turnover, safety stock, and lead time reduction

■Preferred Qualifications:
・Experience operating ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or inventory management systems
・Knowledge of international trade operations (e.g., Incoterms, tariffs, customs procedures)

■Language Skills:
・Chinese (Mandarin) – Intermediate level (preferred)
・Chinese (Cantonese) – Intermediate level (preferred)
