In this role, you’ll oversee fund accounting for a portfolio of real estate clients- reviewing financials, refining processes, and serving as a key advisor in a cross-border setting. It’s also a chance to mentor junior team members and build trusted relationships across internal teams and clients alike.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 6 years of fund or management accounting experience in the real estate sector
• Japanese CPA qualification
• Strong understanding of Japanese GAAP and experience with IFRS/US GAAP conversions
• Fluent in Japanese (oral and written) and business-level English
• Experience reviewing third-party property management accounts
• Hands-on knowledge of service charge accounting, rent reconciliations, and lease structures
• Strong consolidation and disposal experience
• Proficiency in Yardi, Horizon, or other property/accounting systems
• Team leadership and client-facing experience

Desired Skills:

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, data analysis)
• Understanding of tax-related matters (e.g., consumption tax, capital allowances)
• Experience in cross-cultural or international financial services environments
• Familiarity with meritocratic, fast-paced work cultures
