They are looking for a Process Development Scientist. This position will provide process development services and joint development to domestic and international cell therapy development companies in an international team including a foreign leader (non-Japanese speaker). In cooperation with the in-house technology development team, product development team, and business development team, you will play a central role in the success of their company and their customers.
[Roles and Responsibilities]
- Process development work for regenerative medicine products using cell fiber technology
- Planning and execution of process development research for use in the manufacture of products (mesenchymal stem cells, T cells, iPS cells, etc.) for customers and partner companies
- Formulate hypotheses taking into account the difficulty, reproducibility, cost, process time, etc. of culture
- Plan and execute development appropriate to the phase in order to effectively and efficiently proceed with hypothesis verification
- Create work records in a timely manner and prepare documents such as test result reports and SOPs
- In addition to document preparation, contribute to technology transfer and customer success through providing training, etc.
- Adhere to organizational cooperation while promoting things in a self-initiative manner

[Required requirements]
- 3+ years of research, manufacturing, and development experience in a private company
- Knowledge of biology, chemistry, and physics related to the development of cell therapy processes (sterility, cell culture, cell metabolism, T cell biology, cryopreservation, etc.)
- Knowledge and practical experience in GMP manufacturing of cell therapy products
- Master's degree or above
- No Japanese language skills required
[Preferred requirements]
- English skills (level of everyday conversation, communication with superiors, literature research, and document creation)
- Experience providing a series of science and technology-related activities as a service, such as planning and conducting experiments, data analysis, reporting, and presentations
