Consultant Clinical Psychologist/ Director of the Ganjuu

“Ganjuu” is an Okinawan word meaning “Good, well, strong, healthy”. This psychology-led service aims to support the wellbeing of the whole OIST community, which includes graduate students, staffs, and their families. The following services are provided:

• Psychological assessment and psychological therapy
• Development and support of initiatives related to wellbeing and community.
• Workshops and training related to wellbeing
• Services to teams (team building, mediation, etc.)
• Information, advice and consultation on wellbeing and interpersonal matters
• Working at an organizational level to support wellbeing.

The current Director of the service, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, is stepping down from this position and we are looking for a new Director to lead the University wellbeing service. The successful applicant will be joining an established team with English and bilingual Clinical Psychologists and counsellors. Managerially you will report directly to the Director of Community Services who overseas the running of a range of community services.

Responsibilities:
OIST is seeking to recruit an experienced licensed / registered Clinical Psychologist to lead the Ganjuu Wellbeing Service. The post provides real scope and opportunity to help develop the service as the University continues to grow, applying psychological knowledge and understanding to meet the needs of the OIST community.

Main Duties：
The successful applicant will be expected to provide professional and clinical leadership within the service and lead and or support a range of wellbeing initiatives across the university.

They will provide clinical and management supervision to other clinicians within the team. They will lead on service governance procedures to maintain a safe and effective service and ensure the highest standards of clinical and information governance.
    
They will work closely with managers and other stakeholders within OIST to support wellbeing, community and inclusion and will be expected to contribute to a range of organizational wide initiatives.

In consultation with team members and other’s stakeholders they will be expected to continue to develop the service to best meet the wellbeing needs of the OIST community.   

This is a clinical role and they will provide evidence based psychological interventions for graduate students, staff and their families (including children), who present with a wide range of clinical and / or wellbeing issues; contribute to the development of support networks and provide psychologically informed workshops that support the overall wellbeing of the OIST community; provide advice and consultation on wellbeing and interpersonal matters. There is an expectation to work at an individual, couple/family, group, and organizational level.

このサービスの現ディレクターであるコンサルタント臨床心理士が退任するため、大学のウェルビーイング・サービスを率いる新しいディレクターを募集しています。採用された方は、英語とバイリンガルの臨床心理士とカウンセラーからなる確立されたチームに加わることになります。管理職として、様々なコミュニティ・サービスの運営を統括するコミュニティ・サービス部長の直属となります。

職務内容：

OISTでは、がんじゅう・ウェルビーイング・サービスを率いる経験豊かな臨床心理士を募集しています。このポストは、OISTのコミュニティーのニーズに応えるために心理学の知識と理解を応用し、大学が成長し続けるにつれて、サービスの発展に貢献する真の範囲と機会を提供するものです。

主な職務：
サービス内で専門的かつ臨床的なリーダーシップを発揮し、大学全体の様々なウェルビーイングのイニシアチブをリードし、サポートすることが期待されます。

チーム内の他の臨床医に臨床および管理監督を行い、安全で効果的なサービスを維持し、最高水準の臨床および情報ガバナンスを確保する為、サービスガバナンスの手順をリードします。
    
チームメンバーや関係者と相談しながらOISTコミュニティのウェルビーイングのニーズに応えるべく、サービスを発展させていくことが期待されます。

また、OISTコミュニティ全体のウェルビーイングをサポートするため、サポートネットワークの構築に貢献し、心理学的な情報に基づいたワークショップを提供し、ウェルビーイングや対人関係に関するアドバイスやコンサルテーションを提供します。個人、夫婦・家族、グループ、組織レベルでの活動が期待されます。

(Required)

• Postgraduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology and licensed in the country where you completed the training.
• Licensed and registered to practice independently as a clinical psychologist.
• A minimum of at least 6 years post-relevant experience working as a clinical psychologist.
• Have extensive experience in clinical leadership roles.
• Training and extensive experience providing clinical and management supervision to other clinicians to guide practice.
• Native level fluency in English.
• Extensive experience of working clinically with mental health and wellbeing issues across the lifespan, from children to adults.  
• Excellent clinical skills, including competence in one or more areas of evidence-based therapy.
• Skilled in providing consultation.
• Experience and skills in developing and delivering training and workshops on a range of relevant wellbeing topics.
• Understand and practice in accordance with professional guidelines regarding confidentiality, risk management, supervised practice, ethical practice, outcome monitoring, and continuing professional development. The Director will be expected to provide leadership in these areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, clinically, within the team and to larger audiences.
• Ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner, verbally and in writing.
• Excellent team player who is able to communicate ideas at an individual, team, and service level to innovate and develop the service in line with the organization’s values.
• Well organized and excellent administrative skills.
• Skills in the use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests.
• Experience carrying out audits and service development projects.
• 大学院で臨床心理学の博士号を取得し、研修を修了した国で免許を取得していること。
• 臨床心理士として独立開業するための免許を取得し、登録されていること。
• 臨床心理士として少なくとも6年以上の実務経験があること。
• 臨床指導者としての豊富な経験を有すること。
• 実践を指導するために、他の臨床医に臨床およびマネジメントのスーパービジョンを提供するトレーニングを受け、豊富な経験を有すること。
• ネイティブレベルの英語力。
• 子どもから大人まで、生涯にわたるメンタルヘルスとウェルビーイングの問題に臨床的に取り組んだ豊富な経験。
• エビデンスに基づく1つ以上の治療分野の能力を含む、優れた臨床スキル。
• コンサルテーションに長けていること。
• ウェルビーイングに関連する様々なトピックに関する研修やワークショップを開発・実施した経験とスキル。
• 守秘義務、リスク管理、スーパーバイズド・プラクティス、倫理的実践、アウトカムモニタリング、継続的専門能力開発に関する専門的ガイドラインを理解し、それに従って実践する。ディレクターは、これらの分野においてリーダーシップを発揮することが期待される。
• 臨床上、チーム内、およびより多くの人々に対して、文書および口頭による優れたコミュニケーション能力。
• 複雑な情報を明確かつ理解しやすい方法で、口頭および文書で提示する能力。
