Rugby School Japan (RSJ) opened its doors in September 2023 in Kashiwanoha Smart City, Chiba, bringing the 450-year legacy of the prestigious Rugby School UK to the Greater Tokyo area. As a co-educational British international school, RSJ offers both day and boarding options for students aged 11 to 18 (Years 7 to 13). We are proud to provide a highly diverse, international learning environment where students from around the world live and learn together. Currently, our vibrant community has grown to over 400 students.

At the heart of our educational philosophy is the ethos of Rugby School UK: "The Whole Person, The Whole Point." This means we are fundamentally committed to holistic education. Academically, our students follow a rigorous British curriculum leading to IGCSE and A-Level qualifications, which serve as passports to the world's most competitive universities in the UK, the US, Japan, and beyond.

A defining feature of the RSJ experience is our traditional House System. Every student—whether a boarder or a day pupil—belongs to a House, operating under the exceptional pastoral care of dedicated Housemasters and Housemistresses.
