TThomas Miller Co., Ltd. is the Japanese subsidiary of Thomas Miller P&I Ltd., the administrator of the UK P&I Club (The United Kingdom Mutual Steam Ship Assurance Association Ltd.).
The UK P&I Club is a historic and traditional non-profit liability insurance association founded in 1869. It also contributes to society by representing the interests of the global shipping industry in consultations with relevant organizations.
The Club holds over 260 million tons of shipping, representing approximately one-sixth of the world's total tonnage. Its insurance financial strength is rated A by Standard & Poor's Ratings Services, indicating a stable financial foundation. Furthermore, it maintains a global network capable of responding to emergencies 24 hours a day, comprising nine club offices—including its London headquarters and five locations in the Asia-Pacific region—along with approximately 460 correspondents.
