JiMED Inc. was established in March 2020 as a medical device venture originating from Osaka University. The company was founded to turn the results of long-standing research by Professor Masayuki Hirata and his team on wireless implantable BMI (Brain-Machine Interface) / BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) technologies, referred to as BCI, into usable tools.
The name "JiMED" is derived from the initials of Japan Implantable Medical Devices, reflecting our mission to deliver innovative implantable healthcare solutions from Japan to the world.
