A leading global entertainment company is seeking an experienced Legal Specialist to strengthen its legal team in Japan. This company has a rich history of over 100 years, and famous for their entertainment sector.

This is an exciting opportunity at an entertainment company with a long-established presence in Japan and a strong reputation across its industries. You will join an experienced legal team supporting the company's Japan operations.

This role suits a legal professional who wants broad, hands-on exposure across commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters, rather than a narrow specialist track, within a dynamic, creative, and fast-moving entertainment environment.

We are looking for a lawyer with:

* At least 3 years of experience in the in-house legal department or in-house
* Broad working knowledge of Japanese corporate law
* Conversational-level English and native-level Japanese, written and spoken
* Previous experience in the entertainment, media, or content sector is an advantage

Key Responsibilities

* Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
* Support licensing, intellectual property, and cross-border legal matters
* Provide cross-departmental legal advice to business and creative teams
* Manage corporate documentation and registration across all group companies
* Support the legal team on ad hoc projects as the business scales in Japan
