Join a leading global semiconductor manufacturer as a Wafer Process Engineer in Ibaraki, Japan. In this role, you will improve semiconductor front-end manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, production efficiency, manufacturing yield, and process stability.

Working at a major semiconductor manufacturing site, you will evaluate manufacturing equipment, optimize wafer process conditions, and use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and manufacturing data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with product design, development, and manufacturing teams, giving you hands-on exposure across the semiconductor production lifecycle.

• Improve semiconductor wafer and front-end manufacturing processes to increase product quality, production efficiency, yield, and process stability.
• Evaluate, test, and introduce manufacturing equipment and optimize process conditions for stable mass production.
• Analyze experimental and manufacturing data using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare manufacturing data, technical reports, and analysis results and communicate findings to relevant teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product design, development, manufacturing, and engineering teams to maintain reliable and consistent production processes.
• Identify manufacturing challenges, develop hypotheses, plan and conduct experiments, and evaluate results to support process improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing processes, workplace efficiency, quality, and stable semiconductor production.

• 半導体製造工場、実験施設などでの製造装置の使用経験
• 半導体前工程およびSPCに関する基礎知識
• 問題の特定、仮説立案、実験計画、結果の取りまとめができる方

• Experience in experimental evaluation or process improvement within semiconductor front-end manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience using manufacturing equipment in a semiconductor production plant, experimental facility, or equivalent engineering environment.
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor front-end processes, wafer manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Ability to identify technical or manufacturing issues, develop hypotheses, plan experiments, analyze results, and clearly summarize findings.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant educational background.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to approach technical issues systematically.
• Positive attitude toward learning new technologies and continuously developing engineering knowledge.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Good planning and time-management skills, with the ability to manage schedules and execute tasks systematically.

• Japanese: Fluent/advanced proficiency.
• English: Working proficiency, approximately TOEIC 500+ or equivalent.

• Experience with semiconductor front-end manufacturing processes, including experimental evaluation and process improvement.
• Hands-on experience operating manufacturing equipment in semiconductor production, wafer fabrication, or experimental environments.
• Knowledge of SPC, manufacturing data analysis, and data-driven process improvement methodologies.
• Experience improving product quality, production efficiency, manufacturing yield, or process stability.
• Experience collaborating with product design, development, manufacturing, and production engineering teams.
