The Role
We are looking for an Asia-Pacific Product Specialist to join the Laird® Technologies Silicones team and help drive the growth of our Silicone product portfolio.
This role goes beyond traditional product administration. You will act as a key link between R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and global Product Management, leading cross-functional initiatives covering new product commercialization, pricing, profitability, portfolio development, and business growth.
Based in Tokyo and working as part of a global Product Management organization, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across APAC and worldwide to turn technical innovation into commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management & Business Growth
- Manage product lines within the Silicone portfolio
- Support product costing and customer quotation processes
- Conduct margin, profitability, and pricing analysis
- Support and drive product portfolio growth initiatives
- Analyze business and product data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Collaborate closely with global Product Managers to identify and pursue growth opportunities
Project & Product Commercialization
- Lead cross-functional teams supporting new product development and commercialization
- Keep product development and launch activities on schedule
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact successful commercialization
- Coordinate activities and decision-making across R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and other functions
- Drive complex projects through to successful and timely completion
Marketing & Commercial Support
- Serve as a product-line expert and facilitate the flow of product information between technical and commercial teams
- Collaborate with Communications teams to develop and maintain marketing collateral and sales tools
- Support advertising campaigns, trade shows, and other promotional activities
- Help communicate product value propositions and technical information to internal commercial teams
Supply Chain & Global Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to identify changes in demand, supply risks, and potential supply gaps
- Develop mitigation plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Work closely with Product Managers across APAC and globally
- Participate in global Product Management and Marketing initiatives
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with teams around the world

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the electronics industry
- Experience in product management, project management, business development, marketing, or a related function
- Experience coordinating and building relationships across multiple functions
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into business insights and recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Business-level English
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across Sales, R&D, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Operations, and other functions
Preferred
- 3+ years of experience in product line management, project management, business development, marketing, or a related role
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects
- Experience leading project teams
- Knowledge and understanding of global business practices
- Experience working within a global or multinational organization
- Product lifecycle management experience
- Experience with pricing, costing, margin, or profitability analysis

Approximately 1 minute on foot from Tameike-Sanno Station
Hybrid/remote work available after completion of the probationary period. Employees must live within approximately two hours of the worksite.
The position will also require occasional travel to the Chiba site to support new product development and manufacturing projects.
Compensation
Annual Salary: JPY 8M–10M
- Compensation will be determined based on experience and capabilities
- Expected base annual salary: approximately JPY 6.8M–8.5M, depending on experience
- Performance-based variable bonus generally paid once per year in March
- Variable compensation is generally determined based on individual performance and business results
- Salary review generally conducted once per year in March
Working Hours
- Standard working hours: 9:00–17:30
- Flextime system available
- Core hours: 11:00–15:00
- A discretionary work system may apply depending on the position. Where applicable, flextime will not apply and employees will be deemed to have worked eight hours per day, with a separate discretionary work allowance provided.
