• プライバシー、データ保護、消費者保護、Eコマースに関する法務アドバイスの提供
• 日本国内の規制当局対応、および社外ステークホルダーマネジメント
• 新規立法・規制への対応戦略の策定および社内展開の推進
• コーポレート法務、商事契約、知的財産、雇用関連法務に関する幅広いリーガルサポート
• クロスボーダー案件の対応（海外の法務チームと連携）
• 外部弁護士の選定・マネジメントおよび複数プロジェクトの同時進行管理
  
  

A leading global technology company is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Japan to advise on wide-ranging regulatory and commercial legal matters. This senior role will provide guidance across privacy, data protection, consumer protection, e-commerce, IP, and employment law, while also managing relationships with regulators and global stakeholders. You will play a key role at the intersection of technology, innovation, and regulation, directly influencing strategy and governance in Japan and APAC.

• Provide legal advice on privacy, data protection, consumer protection, and e-commerce issues.
• Represent the company in regulatory inquiries and stakeholder engagements in Japan.
• Develop strategies for regulatory and legislative engagement.
• Deliver guidance across corporate, commercial, IP, and employment law.
• Collaborate with regional and global legal teams on cross-border projects.
• Manage outside counsel and oversee multiple legal projects simultaneously.

必須条件経験・資格：

• 日本の弁護士資格または外国法事務弁護士資格

• 法律事務所または企業内法務部における法務経験8年以上
• 米国、英国、または日本の大手法律事務所における実務経験3年以上

• プロジェクトマネジメント、ステークホルダーマネジメント
• 限られた時間の中でも、現実的かつ的確なリーガルアドバイスを提供できること

• 日本語：ネイティブレベル
• 英語：流暢

• IT/テクノロジー業界の法務経験（特に規制関連）
• アジア太平洋地域の法規制フレームワークに明るい方
• 米系グローバル企業の日本法人におけるインハウス経験

• 8+ years of legal practice at law firms and/or in-house roles.
• At least 3 years at a top-tier US, UK, or Japanese law firm.
• Licensed to practice law with appropriate certification for Japan.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to deliver practical legal advice under tight deadlines.

• Japanese: Native or near-native proficiency.
• English: Native or near-native proficiency.

• Experience in the technology sector, particularly regulatory issues.
• Familiarity with Asia-Pacific legal and regulatory frameworks.
• In-house legal experience at a global US-headquartered company in Japan.
