Assistant Accounting Manager

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage all daily accounting operations

• Lead month-end and year-end financial closings

• Ensure compliance with both US GAAP and Japan GAAP

2. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Oversee accounts receivable and payable

• Manage local funding and currency needs efficiently

• Ensure proper cash flow planning and execution

3. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls

• Ensure compliance with both local laws and corporate policies

4. Taxation

• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including transfer pricing

• Coordinate with tax advisors and internal stakeholders to meet filing deadlines and tax strategy alignment

5. Finance Projects

• Participate in or lead finance-related projects as assigned by corporate or regional teams

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to automation or efficiency initiatives

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

• CPA or equivalent qualification preferred

Professional Experience

• 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting or audit

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Process-oriented and results-driven with a mindset for continuous improvement

• Familiarity with ERP systems SAP
