Job Descriptions
Propose the best cutting tools and tooling strategies prior to CAM program creation, considering material, machine capability, cycle time, tool life, and cost.
Create, release, and maintain tool assemblies, tool lists,and tooling data in the Tool Management System (TMS).
Use Zoller tool pre-setter to measure and verify tool assemblies according to TMS specifications.
Audit tooling setups, investigate non-compliance, and implement corrective actions.
Support tool crib & machinist/supervisor on correct tooling usage and setup.
Drive tooling standardization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cutting tools engineering & management.
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, shrink-fit systems, and work-holding principles.
Hands-on experience with Zoller tool pre-setter, ZollerTool Management Systems (TMS), Powershrink Fit Machine and tool inventory systems.
Solid understanding of CNC machining processes and shop floor operations.
