Job Description
Purpose of the Role
Responsible for supporting Paint Shop operations, ensuring process and quality compliance, monitoring critical painting parameters, troubleshooting paint defects, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor pretreatment, primer, base coat, and topcoat processes and ensure adherence to defined specifications.
Control key parameters including viscosity, temperature, humidity, film thickness, and curing conditions.
Inspect and analyze paint defects such as orange peel, runs, blistering, peeling, scratches, and adhesion issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for recurring quality issues.
Monitor paint booths, spray equipment, coating processes, and paint consumption.
Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams for quality compliance, preventive maintenance, and breakdown issues.
Maintain production, quality, process-monitoring, and MIS reports.
Support 5S, Kaizen, Lean, cost reduction, rejection reduction, and productivity improvement initiatives.
