About the Client:
Our client is a specialized, global industrial manufacturer of advanced polymer-based contamination control and critical cleaning components used in semiconductor fabrication. They are currently seeking a Technical Sales & Support Engineer to be based in South Korea.
Role Overview:
This role is responsible for on-site technical support, product evaluations, defect analysis, distributor collaboration, and market intelligence across Korea and broader Asia. Serving as a critical link between Korean customers and global applications engineering and R&D teams (U.S./Taiwan), you will provide pre- and post-sales technical consulting to ensure successful customer integration of the company's proprietary technologies (70% Technical/30% Sales).
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Applications Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers on post-CMP cleaning solutions across all wafer manufacturing applications.
Cross-Border Communication: Translate local technical findings, customer challenges, and process feedback into clear English documentation for overseas engineering and product teams.
Training & Alignment: Deliver customer and distributor technical training (on-site/virtual) and support quarterly U.S.-led technical review sessions.

Experience Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, or a relevant technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in a technical capacity.
Languages: Business fluency in both written and verbal English and Korean is strictly required to bridge local customers and global HQ.
Soft Skills: Proven customer relationship-building skills with the comfort to communicate directly with end-users and distributors to set technical direction.
Execution: Results-oriented self-starter proficient in data analysis, technical report writing, and presentation skills.
Desired Qualifications (Plus Factors):
Knowledge of advanced logic, memory, and/or advanced packaging device technologies and challenges.
Hands-on experience interacting with major local fabs (Samsung, SK Hynix, or major foundries/OSATs).
Background in CMP or specialty cleaning equipment (e.g., former Process Engineer, FAE, or Applications Engineer).
Experience with CMP post-clean consumables, cleaning modules, mechanical cleaning sub-systems, or post-CMP chemistries.
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-cultural teams in the U.S., Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan.
