Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute buying and category management strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
Identify potential supply, pricing, quality, and availability risks and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Manage category performance including pricing, assortment, margins, inventory, availability, and wastage.
Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Key Requirements
Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
Proven experience in buying, merchandising, procurement, or category management within retail or fresh food environments.
Strong track record in supplier negotiations, pricing strategies, inventory management, margin optimisation, and wastage control.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement commercial strategies that improve category performance.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and commercial decision-making capabilities.
